Workshop Session - Pupil Recruitment: A Tailored Approach and a Measure of Success
Jan Evans & Tug Rhys, RSAdmissions Ltd
Working in small groups and based on case studies, the workshop challenge is to create an admissions strategy for recruiting specific types of pupils.  Do you need more of one type and less of another?  More girls in Year 7?  Fewer overseas boarders?   More pupils in the Prep?  Or just more pupils!  How do we identify these target pupils and, crucially, can we tailor our response to recruit more of them?
We have planned our strategy, how can we measure its success?  What information do we need to record and how do we present these results to our SMT/Governors with confidence?
'So relevant.  Lots of ideas'
'Valuable mixture of helpful information and feedback'

Social media advisor to the education sector, Tracy Playle, will take you through the 'online audience engagement journey' to prompt and inspire your thinking around how different online media might support you and your audience at different stages in their journey to becoming part of your school.

2.  'If you can keep your head ... ' (with apologies to Rudyard Kipling)
Julia Steward, Chrysalis Leadership Development
If you achieve all that you set out to do every day, remaining unfailingly calm and serene every waking hour, this workshop is definitely NOT for you. In the current economic climate many of us are being asked to achieve more with fewer resources.    How can we resist being pushed out of shape by the constant demands to achieve more?  How can we achieve success whilst still retaining our sanity? In this participative and interactive workshop, you will have a chance to consider what causes you stress, how you might avoid it, and how to guard against 'losing your head'.
'Great to think of yourself and just the school.  Very refreshing'
'Brilliant therapy session on handing stress - thank you'
